Travelling to QEHB by car (satnav B15 2TH)
How to find the QE Hospital from Birmingham city centre
How to find the QE Hospital from the M5 motorway
- Leave the city centre along the A38 dual carriageway (Bristol Road) signed ‘Bromsgrove, Longbridge, Northfield, A38’
- Continue along the A38. Shortly after the Belgrave Interchange, the dual carriageway ends
- Shortly after passing the traffic lights at the junction with Priory Road, the dual carriageway starts again
- Continue along the dual carriageway. You will pass a fire station on your left and the dual carriageway ends shortly after this
- After passing traffic lights by the university entrance, you will see a sign for ‘(M5, M42) Bromsgrove, Queen Elizabeth’
- A short distance later you will come to another set of traffic lights. Keep to the right, do not take the slip road to the left signed ’Selly Oak’
- Pass the Esso garage on your left and follow the road until you come to a roundabout
- Take the 2nd exit (New Fosse Way), signed ‘Queen Elizabeth’ – as you come off the roundabout, be aware that traffic merges from your left
- Continue until you reach another roundabout – stay in the LH lane
- Take the 1st exit (Hospital Way), signed ‘Queen Elizabeth, Womens, The Barberry’
- Follow the road, ignoring the left turning.
- After a short distance you will see the slip road to the left which takes you to the car park
- Take a ticket at the barrier and remember which floor you park on
- There are stairs and lifts – the pedestrian exit to the hospital is on level 3
- Turn left as you come out of the car park and walk towards the main entrance
- After the meeting, return to the car park pedestrian entrance and pay for your parking at the machines by the lifts.
- Blue badge holders can park for free in marked bays. You do not have to leave your blue badge on display in the car whilst it is parked. Take your blue badge and car park ticket to the Q-Park office by the lifts on level 2 so that you can have your ticket validated (you can do this either when you arrive or when you are returning to your car). When you leave the car park, drive to the exit barrier and insert your validated ticket in the normal way. This information applies to Car Park A (the multi-storey linked to the new QE building). In Car Park D (the multi-storey by the old QE building), you need to display your blue badge in your car and then show it to the camera at the exit barrier. (QEHB parking info)
